For pokemon fans whom have Heart Gold and Silver Soul versions:
http://www.1up.com/news/nintendo-pokemon-gold-silver-mew
Nintendo are celebrating the 10th anniversary of Pokemon Gold and Silver with Mew as give away gift to Heart Gold and Silver Soul players. To obtain the Mew, simply connect to Nintendo WiFi and select the Mystery Gift to get the rare pokemon. It starts as level 5 with few moves. Good luck with getting Mew! The promotion will start at October 15 until October 30.
Too bad that I stopped playing Pokemon games. Too many games with same goals and basic features unless Black and White come up as completely different games. _________________

The idea is that Mew is a blank slate you can do anything with. Don't forget that Mew can learn any TM or HM. _________________

yeah i know, but in order to use him competitively you'd need to SR until you got one with ridiculous stats anyway. without that, he's just a standard legendary who you need to raise from scratch. if he had some interesting and unique moves it would be ok, but this is just lazy. sure, he can learn any tm/hm and most move tutor moves. but a lot of the good moves as such require a lot of work on the side as well. so, i dont think it is worth raising him. im just getting him for the pokedex. _________________
