"dude, i just got 51 points at the test" - "well, at least it's better than a rock to your head" - "yea, right..." so guys, excited to hear about your local sayings

we have dozens of dialects here in germany, and in mine we have also a strange saying for this:

native: bessa wie e lapp voll reißnägl
written: besser als den mund voller reißnägel
english: better than having the mouth full of thumbtacks
use: see above

I'm sorry, I have to disagree with that assessment. Sticks in the mud are okay-ish.
