and for another year I am proud to say I didn't realize faggensteins day until about 3.15 pm, when I woke up in the middle of a commercial.

luckily, it was on DMAX (a mens TV station), and it said:

"On Valentine's Day, tell her you love her.
The wife, not the car."

nope, my gf is in namibia atm. wouldn't have made a great difference though, last year she forgot it too

@Fazermint: I actually agree with psychokind on this one. The idea of a special day to excuse guys for acting like jerks the other 364 seems a mite pointless to me. If you really love somebody, you shouldn't need a special day to show it.

Not really. There are way more important celebrations in a relationship than a random religious holiday which has all but sold out to be a corporate day of candy dispensing.

Anniversaries, birthdays... hell even Christmas and Thanksgiving I think hold more romantic value in the life of a relationship than Valentine's Day.
