Jason Tandro has started Wow. GloomyGurl dragged me into it. After some initial technical hiccups, one of which I'll admit was straight up user error ( the login issue) I have started playing. I'm playing Horde (cause she is) and I am a night elf paladin. Username? Please ya'll you should know: Jasontandro. Currently playing in a PVP... I think it's Alatrec Mountains or something like that. Anyways, if you play, shoot me your respective usernames and servers and I'll try to hangout. I don't currently intend to buy, just keep making characters on Level 20, lol. Maybe I'll buy it later. We shall c. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

You mean Blood Elf, then. Night Elves are Alliance version elves, Blood Elves are the pretty ones on the Horde side.
Anyway, all of my mains on Sargeras are Alliance :/ I'll... try not to swoop down and kill you PvP style with my lv81 if you stay Horde on my server. _________________

So far I'm underwhelmed. Its the best mmo I've ever played no question but its got nothing that freerealms doesn't and that had more minigames. I thought this was supposed to be some eatthshattering adventure game.
But I've found out the best way to enjoy it. Treat it as an rp hub and make your own stories. That's what me and GloomyGurl do. But no I'm not gonna turn into a WoW zombie _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

it's an mmo, not an mmorpg. if you seek rp, leave wow before it's too late you'll hate this game without having seen 5% of it. _________________

There's... not really any "mini-games" per se, but monthly they do have the Darkmoon Faire and I know they'll be starting up Lunar New Year events soon. Whenever there's a holiday, WoW will have something corresponding with it. Hell, they even have a mini-day for Talk Like A Pirate day! It's nothing special, but it's a fun thing to do.
I guess repeatable quests could count as mini-games, but nothing that you'd see in a game like, say, Final Fantasy or something, and that's only if you're doing fishing or cooking.
Then there's the people who like doing dungeons or raids. I'm not a raider, I don't particularly like going through the dungeon runs (unless it's with Me, Myself, and I and about 30+ levels on it), and I do it for the quests. I know dungeons and raids are for story purposes, but I'd rather do quests and stupid achievements. Last stupid achievement gained on my main? THIS ONE I'm currently working for 2000 quests completed, trying to get "the Seeker" as a title. _________________

I agree with pretty much everything you've said in there. I've tried MMO's before, and never could find much enjoyment in them. There's fun and then there's life-sucking... it's not just MMO's either. I've played games I realized weren't fun and just stuck through them- I try to finish whatever I start (But that's not always the case) but even Oblivion was fun to a point. I had a friend who logged about 500 hours in Oblivion, 230 alone on a single account. I mean, how much of a game can you really play before it becomes "obsessive?"
On a personal note, loved your little dig at SOPA right at the end. Ever considered doing a video about your views on SOPA? Might be worth a thought. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. since you haven't played WoW at all (the game begins with "end"content), I don't think your review is very accurate if somebody would just tell you what kind of abbrevations you have to know for boss fights it'd be already more difficult than to learn a tactical shooter game (I don't say to be good at it!). _________________

You do an attack video on MMOs, and take a last second dig at SOPA. You do a SOPA video, you take a last second dig at Hollywood. Do I see a Hollywood rant video in the future? But you're absolutely right. SOPA isn't just stupid, it's dangerous. To quote someone... "We went from book burnings to outright censorship." Never truer words spoken. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it.
