Red Armor is like a permanent Piece of Power. You will always do double damage, and it does stack on top of the LV.2 Sword. However, Pieces of Power will no longer give you a strength boost. The same goes for Blue Armor/Guardian Acorn.
Key Cavern is the only instance in a Zelda game where you are given an extra key. Remember the room with four locked doors? If you take the East door first, you can not get into the other doors without returning. That final key is a way to get into those doors if you take the East door and use all the keys on the next floor to open the way to the Boss without returning. _________________

I just finished playing Paper Mario (N64) again.
The first time through, I never used the stone cap. I thought "what the hell good is turning yourself to stone?".
This time, I did, and realized what a game breaker it really is. It turns you invincible for 3 turns or so, and repels any attacks with no need for action command timing (which means your partners can't be targeted by the few enemies/bosses that can hit them).
And they're only 30 coins each, purchasable in Toad Town.
Got a tough boss fight coming up? Check some items in at the item shop, stock up on 5 or 6 caps, and let your partner do all the work (Bow, who'll shred those with no defense when fully upgraded, or Watt, who punches through it).
I wish I had realized that some time ago. _________________

Usually, people have break-up songs. Paper Mario is my break-up game...I might look into it again sometime! _________________

I'm planning on playing the Paper Mario series just as soon as I can find a decent copy of the N64 game. I already have TYD. _________________

I spent most of last night showing my nephew three 8 bit versions of Double Dragon and the sms. I was surprised that the sega version was his least favorite. His favorite was the 2nd nes title. I already knew that he likes all three Sonic titles for the system, so I made him try some others first. He liked Altered Beast, Golden Axe, The Ninja, and Ninja Gaiden. He didn't like Afterburner or Rastan. I forgot to get him to try Master of Darkness and Streets of Rage. |

So I finished Kirby (at least, I thought I did).
I saw Mario Strikers Charged for $20, so I figured it might be worth picking up.
Holy shit, is it ever chaotic. On even a medium difficulty, good luck getting a decent shot off. Shit's flying everywhere, with power-ups being used, players tackling each other, environmental hazards... it makes some of the challenge levels where you have to score a certain number of goals pretty tough (damn Waluigi having to score 3 times in 50 seconds).
Haven't played multiplayer yet, but it's pretty clear that's where the real fun and replay are. _________________

I thought there was 94 or 95, and yes I do. I missed the one in first stage Suncoast since I don't know how to get it off the bookcase, and I can't find the nomads who found the asian girl. _________________

you get the one from the bookcase in the next expansion of sun coast, when you have build the airfield, in the city hall.
nomads for the asian girl are the quattros, later found near liotto. _________________

Getting a surge of Portal 2 interest again lately. Just sucks that the intrinsic challenge of the game is mostly lost after solving a puzzle. The "Aha!" moment of finally figuring out the solution is truly satisfying, yet totally drains the replay factor out of that puzzle. Thank gawd for custom maps! |

Beat FF13-2, just have to get the last 8 fragments and I'll have it fully completed until new dlc comes out.
So, I picked up my last save from Ar tonelico 2 and started on that again. _________________
