Last night I went to 2nd and Charles. I bought Death Note #8 and 9, Tsubasa #2, 3, and 4, and 2 nes games, Top Gun and Star Voyager. I'm just pissed, but not at all surprised that the Jimi Hendrix record I saw Thursday night wasn't there. |

I bought a power-supply for this.
The model itself dates back to the 80's, and a cousin of mine gave it to me, for free. So it adds up to the list of instruments that various relatives gave to me, making it a total of two _________________

One of the great things about working at a video game store: buying trade ins someone was going to walk out with.
Guy walks in with a bag of old NES games. 25 total. Some sports, Nightmare On Elm Street which is worth a few bucks. We ring him out, he's due 10.50 store credit, or 5 cash.
I tell my buddy if he leaves I was gonna make an offer. So he does. He says he wants like twenty bucks- I readily agree. I take the bag and sift through it. It's mostly in decent shape, even with a few crap sports games, I paid less than a dollar for each game.
So, in the bag, I notice the game Gyromite. For those of you unaware, it was game that utilized the R.O.B. (Robitic Operating Buddy) accessory. I have three spares o this game, but I noticed something unusual: it wasn't a first release "5" screw game, it was a 3 screw version. I hadn't been aware that a 3 screw version even existed. So, I went to check it out- and apparently it's worth about 50-75 on the collector market.
Not a bad haul if I do say so myself. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. I'm playing HeartGold as well Had the original Gold version back then, but I left my GBC when I moved and haven't played it for years. Nostalgia is awsm. Right now I'm using Feraligatr, Ampharos and Pupitar... any suggestions for the remaining 3 party slots?
I never tried the original FF3 (although I've got it lying around), but the FF4 remake is on my get-list _________________ Hey. I'm Fazermint. And I'm Juicy!

cool.
my current party is umbreon, scizor, charizard and kingdra. in terms of the other 3 for you, pidgeot is pretty awesome. also, arcanine. and why not, an eevee or something. _________________

I'm gonna ditch Tyranitar for Mamoswine, he has a better type combination (ground/ice). The remaining 3 slots will be filled with Houndoom, Metagross and Heracross.
I just now read up on EV training, turns out I'll have to breed a new Feraligatr and get a new Ampharos... Wee. _________________ Hey. I'm Fazermint. And I'm Juicy!

Another solid day. Got a copy of Silver Surfer for NES for cheap from a friend. Got Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 from Gamestop using a leftover giftcard... not bad. Also got this game for NES called Stinger, as well as Actraiser 2 for SNES for 15. Only a few more NTSC Quintet games and I'm done. (Got SB and IoG, got Actraiser 1 and 2, missing the others) _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. ActRaiser 2 is a much better game than people make it out to be. I actually like it enough to have completed it.
I recently got a lot of 14 LPs / EPs in the mail from Northern Heritage in Finland. Highlights include Mgla, Exordium, Clandestine Blaze and Satanic Warmaster. _________________ The Vacant Light |

Where to begin lol... working in a game store really benefits your collection (but not your wallet lol...)
Got a boxed nes action set near mint condition. Walked into the store, walked out with me. Picking up various odds and ends to my NES collection, got three Bible games (Exodus, Joshua, and King of Kings), and just scored a power glove with the sensor for dirt cheap. I love the power glove. It's so bad. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. I recently bought some pastrami while visiting my parents out of town. Pastrami is awesome and grocery stores don't sell it in my area for whatever reason. _________________ The Vacant Light |
