I'm planning on starting Paladin's Quest tonight. I've owned it for a while and haven't bothered playing it yet. It seems pretty old-school from what I know.

Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. Shit's awesome.

The battle system is incredibly well designed. It's simple, engaging, and always brings you something new. Story's mediocre, as expected from a Mario game. I'm digging the utterances mario and luigi make. Only frustration so far is the bonus stat roulette. I almost always land a +1 Sad

I played LoZ Phantom Hourglass, hunting for Neptoona to get a Heart Container before move to Archer minigame for final Heart Container and ship parts then kill the final boss to end the game.

I beat Paladin's Quest today, while being extremely underlevelled. I essentially beat the final boss on the last possible turn.

Tales of Graces f, off and on. Finally beat the extra content and it set me back at the last boss with an extra dungeon.

I started Tales of Vesperia too, as well as Atelier Totori.

Just beat Paper Mario and Wario Land. I'm now working on Paper Mario : TTYD and realizing that I don't like Wario Land 2 at all.

after rage quitting assassin's creed, decided to play ultimate ninja storm 2. more addicting than i thought it'd be. story mode is well balanced, and it doesn't force you to do all the side quests. this is why i like it. plus the cel-shading is gorgeous.

Not much time to play lately, but I tried out a handful of games this afternoon:

Power Punch II (NES) - Really just dreadful. It was originally meant to be the sequel to Mike Tyson's Punch Out, but after Tyson got into trouble with the law it fell through. The original title was supposed to be "Mike Tyson's Intergalatic Punch Out," but changed to Power Punch to avoid any legal issues. Hell, the boxers name was changed to Mark Tyler! Still looks alot like Tyson.

I couldn't get past the first fight. It wasn't even fun, the backgrounds were bland, the play mechanics were terrible- probably not coming off my shelf again for awhile.

The Guardian Legend:

One of my all time favorites. It's a top down shooter, where the spaceship turns into a girl and becomes a Zelda-style RPG with guns. Sound awesome yet? Watch a youtube video on it when you get a chance- it's an absolute blast.

Decided today to challenge myself, and tried to play the game with several different controllers. Seeing as how I don't currently have a tube TV, the power glove was out, but I did recently get an NES controller called the "IMN Controller." It was the first motion controller supposedly for the time, and much like the power glove, had a lot of detection issues. It's shaped like a flight stick, with no base- it's actually pretty neat looking. However, due to the controllers issues, I didn't get past the first stage. Played around with it a few more times, and then went to test out my Sega CD.

Time Gal-

Any AVGN viewer here has probably seen the Sega CD video, and this game was covered. It's a directional adventure- pretty much, you're given the four directions on the D-Pad to choose from, and have to hit whichever direction blinks quickly. The only fun part of the game is watching the annoying title character die- but since you only get three lives and about 2/3rds of a second of reaction time, you end up seeing the same three death scenes over and over. Worth some money I hear, but not worth the time to play.

Bits of Diablo III, now got a Lvl27 Barbarian.

Also, Dissidia 012. Finished the Prologue Story, now onto the main one.

Kinda stopped playing Diablo 3. I dunno, the game has about 10 hours of content... Replaying it again and again gets boring after a wihle.

Been hittin' some SNES games lately. Playing through the old Super Mario games on Super Mario All-Stars, holy fuck I suck at those games. Considering giving Monster Hunter Tri another playthrough.

Ghostbusters on Sega Master System: Believe it or not, slightly better than the NES version... graphics are better, the gameplay is more deep... but the controls are complete ass. Maybe it's because I was using a Genesis controller instead of the original controller? Dunno...

Lunar: Silver Star Story Sega CD: I played this on PS1 years ago and immediately fell in love with the game. Due to my recent purchase of a Sega CD, I had to try this out. Lucky for me, a friend had it. I'll just say, being as this CD system was one of the earliest CD Gaming systems, it runs extremely slow, the dialogue is mostly obnoxious, and the "CG" cutscenes are a joke. Never the less, probably the best game on this system.

Tengen Tetris on NES: Top rare NES game, due to a recall over licensing issues. Got this on the cheap from ebay. Aside from the fact that there is two player head to head (Not available on the other NES version) the overall design looks cheap, the music is uninteresting. Overall, a rare title, but not that great of a rare title...

Rockman X3 was in yesterdays mail. I'm hoping for X2 to show up soon, but it could be another week or two. It shipped from China.

Jumping between a few games

Diablo III (not that much anymore)

Heroes of Newerth (Casual game of choice atm)

Dissidia (Playing through original story)

Final Fantasy 3 (mostly on the bus)

Final Fantasy 8 (breaking it, Squall is stupidly powerful at the moment)
