A little premature, but I would like to start a thread here. Anybody doing anything exciting on Friday? |

I'm going to a friend's place to play co-op Tales of Symphonia. With beers. Seems fitting enough...
Also, congrats on exams! _________________

No plans for Friday, but tonight I'm going to go to one of those places that the floors and walls are trampolines. Can't wait.
Maybe I'll go see The Hobbit. That soundslike a good way to go out. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. I'm off work Friday, so if the world blows up, at least I can enjoy it in the comfort of my own home. Pants are optional.
Unless that doesn't happen.
Anyway, Friday night, there's dinner and a Christmas gift exchange with my gf. _________________

Welp, I survived. But now I'm a hippy singing 'Age of Aquarius' so maybe the world did end.
(ok, I kid, I'm really not doing that!) _________________

25 minutes left here.
After two failed raptures, if the world doesn't hurry up and start ending soon, I'm going to be pissed. _________________

Another apocalypse down. All we have to worry about now is a) the Biblical end times, b) the zombie apocalypse, or c) the USSR taking over America, Red Dawn (80's, of course) style. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. What the...? I woke up! Why is the world still here?
There's a scant amount of snow on the ground, does that count? _________________

Believe it or not, I might be one of the few horror fans that just couldn't get into that show. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. well I couldn't imagine myself liking the series as a horror film fan. there's not much horror involved in it, I see it more as a documentary about social behaviour of humans in extreme situations. and as a documentary about a zombie apocalypse _________________

I have an interest in that stuff too. Character studies and social commentaries have always interested me, going as far back as watching old reruns of Twilight Zone episodes (Like the Monsters Live On Maple Street and All the time in The World) I did try to give the series a try- I watched the first 2 episodes and half of the third. I just couldn't get into it.
I might give it another shot down the road. In fact, more than likely. I seem to find myself watching things from two perspectives- I go into a movie/tv show as a fan, and then upon a second viewing I try more objectively. I find I grow to like a film I might've hated initially doing it this way. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. The zombie apocalypse will only happen when I become the queen zombie and that hasn't happened fully yet. Just sayin'. _________________

The fact that you said "hasn't happened fully yet" terrifies me. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it.
