|
|
The idea for this came from Jason Tandro's 6000 post celebration.
Basically, we each spend 2 hours on Terranigma, playing from scratch. Post up a couple of screenshots, maybe some videos. But the most interesting part of it: Whoever gets the furthest in 2 hours clocked time wins!
I'll be doing mine later this afternoon, and Jason has already set the standard.
I might even do prizes for this. Probably gems or crappily-made sigs, but hey.
Rules
You must start a new game.
Obviously, no cheating/hacking
No use of save states
Saving in-game is fine, but this isn't that serious a competition- try to do it in one sitting!
CURRENT RECORDS
Jason Tandro - Evergreen (Boss)
EverPhoenix - Elkemata (Yeti) _________________

I would also like it noted that I died during the boss fight so if you beat the boss you're technically further than me! Also that should be easy as (as you'll see in the video) about 40 minutes of the game is me backtracking or trying to figure out what to do... it'd been about two years since I last played!
Edit: Oh, EP can you make one of these for IoG and Soul Blazer too? IoG I got to the first darkspace in Seaside Palace. Haven't done my Soul Blazer one yet. _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

Finished mine just then. It's been at least a few months since I last played this, so...
Anyway. Final score: In-game clock was at 1:54
Got up to: Elkemata (Yeti) _________________

Nope. I did check for Mu, but I don't think it appears without Polynese being unlocked. _________________

I actually stumbled upon Mu first, but had to wait to use the gate til after Polynese. Block puzzle north of Tower 3, very end of the landmass. Theres this mountain that almost totally blocks your way but it is passable _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

100% as in all Magirock, Mu + Polynese?
Or are there also weapon/item slots involved? _________________

Magirock, mu + polynese, potions, all chests, every enemy in the first time in a room.
I could have been a lot faster with a better controller. My current one is a 6 year old 10€ usb one which doesn't even have fully working diagonals anymore... _________________

Impressive. Not sure how far I would have gotten if I'd gone for the 100% _________________

Honestly I don't think the 100% up to this point take more than 10 minutes just sounds better _________________

just for a future self:
2017 it took me about 9 hours to finish 100% with a pretty explorative run. _________________

I can't do a 100% run below 8 hours. I'm no speedrunner but I enjoy watching people like z4t0x doing these. |
