Flash Games

Once in a while I get an OG kick and feel like playing some flash games. Just a moment ago I finished one of the great grand-daddies of my love of net-based horror "The House". This simple "click on stuff til scares happen" game may not hold up well as a game but for atmosphere and fun jump scares it's not bad at all. About to play the sequel.

I also remember being huge into Addicting Games, in fact when I used to do that PM service "UFO Finder" (if any of you all remember those days) I often featured a game of the week. Some of my favorites from those days:

Run Elephant Run - Very simple game but the techno song kicks ass.

Kitten Cannon - We played this in high school and it's still as hilariously satisfying as ever.

Potty Racers - Surprisingly detailed port-a-potty trick simulator. Decently fun even today.

This Is The Only Level - A simple concept but a really fun puzzle game.

Max Damage - This game is pure electronics destroying catharsis.

Fly The Copter - The OG itself, this flash game is as timeless as it gets.

Hewitt - Lastly (for now) is Hewitt, a decent-lengthed point and click adventure game with a pretty cool soundtrack and some fun (if somewhat easy) puzzles.

How about QWOP?

I tend to play Platform Racing 2.

Fun fact, my husband has beaten QWOP. If you get a good actual run going, and not just sadly flailing around like wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man, this starts playing. It's a little hilarious.

I've gotten like the first two bars of that before over-extending and dying. I think my best is like 20 feet or something...

I think the most I ever got was about the first 2 notes before I fell flat on my face. My best distance ever was 50m...I basically kept inching along the track on my knees for a couple of hours, and then did a massive pratfall over the fucking hurdle!
