Last time I played it was 2006 or 2007. Now, I have some nephews that love old SNES games and I thought ok lets play Terranigma with them. I used to read around a lot about this and scoured the games for secrets of various kinds. Still I kind of hoped I would find at least something that I had not seen before this time around.
Completing the game, the ending was as amazing as before. Nothing new, but what to do. I wanted to check what the people say in the village at the start of the game and compare what they said to what they say during the last day. Especially they guy at the pond, who says he can see the future in it. In the last day, he sees nothing, at the start of the game, he sees a large town. Perhaps there is some hint here about the future not being set at the start of the game. Dark side would have won if not for Ark's intervention.
I went in to check with the guys trying to open the door and wanted to compare what they would say when the pop up appears - help to open the door or not. For the first time I chose "No" and then again "No" when they asked for help again.
A cutscene plays out in which the guys try to open the door themselves and get sucked through it, freezing and getting scattered throughout the basement.
Just a small thing to be honest but I was so surprised at suddenly finding something I had not seen before in this game! It's not hidden at all but saying "No" to progressing the story had never occurred to me! |

oooh welcome to the forums, and I totally feel you!
Where are you from?
I also didnt play the game for over 10 years, it felt like playing it for the first time. I made one jawdropping discovery when I progressed Suncoast to 100% for the first time...did you manage to do that yet? _________________

I replayed it again last year, it was nice to revisit it! Even if I take a while in playing it, it still doesn't beat my first time ever playing it. One of the few games I want to erase my memory of so I can experience it all over again, really.
I don't think I said 'no' enough at the beginning, and idr if I've ever gotten Suncoast to 100%. I love finding new things about this game, even 30 years on. _________________
