I resurrected my account from the dead after seeing this post: Clear River Games is teasing Terranigma related news for Aug 24.

Did they do it? Did they figure out the legal stuff to finally re-release this game? Guess we'll have to see next week.

It's been so long! I'll be tuning in on the 24th for sure to see what it's all about.

The very very small credits text mentioning Square-Enix AND Quintet gives me some hope that at least it's something real.

On this day, my TerraEarth account was resurrected.
Hearing the teaser news just made me come here to see if anyone was talking about it. Looking into Clear River Games makes me think it will be one of those situations where they just put the ROM in a package and release it on consoles, kind of like Limited Run Games does. If that's all it is, I'll still buy the most expensive big box version they have. If it's an actual remake/remaster of some kind, unlikely, but even better!

wow that's interesting! that sounds like you need a fixed amount to pay a lawyer in japan to conclude the "reasonable efforts to identify and contact the copyright holder" and the application and then you get greenlighted or not. might be expensive, but most likely doable via crowdfunding.

What a time to be alive! Looking forward to sinking way too much time into making my hubby watch me play it, or make him play it for the first time 😅

both the video and the tweet are deleted... the game is still up on steam. there's so little information! and they didn't add it on their homepage either Very Happy

man I'm sceptical, but let's hope for the best!

On the Terranigma subreddit, a user claimed they used his fan re-arrangememt theme from 12 years ago for the trailer without crediting him. He reached out to them, so it looks like they took down the video to possibly correct this.

They reposted the trailer, with the game's original music now haha

According to the Reddit user, the response he got from Clear River Games is that they used his rearrangement as a placeholder and forgot. They apologized and have replaced it. Funny situation.
