How do I get a title? Is it a contest? They seem very interesting. Do I have to be friends with someone? |

You have to be friends with me.
Actually, it IS a bit of a contest that I run from time to time. Well, actually.... I've only run it twice.
It's called the "TerraEarth awards". In a nutshell, I have the other posters suggest categories to me, and I come up with my own. The posters all vote for other posters to win certain categories (for example, say "funniest poster"), and when the voting is all done, I report the winners.
Everyone sends their votes to me through private messages, and I'm responsible for keeping track of the votes, keeping things straight, etc. The whole thing was my idea in the first place, so I run the show.
Unfortunately, you just missed it. We had this thing going not too long ago, and it'll be a while before we do another run. _________________

it was booming when there were 10 or so regular posters ... because there are so few people you get to know everyone quite well ... its a nice little group _________________ It's high time I revised this signature. |

Yeah, some of the old regulars don't come by any more.... and some others only come by once in a while. Busy with other things. It's too bad, really, but other stuff has gotta come first.
The place was quite a bit busier before they left, but it was never a huge place. Personally, that's the way I like it.... when the forums don't have 10,000 members. That way, everyone's got their own identity, and stands out somehow. _________________

That sounds interesting!
I know I have been to many boards that had many people and they are all...somewhat vague about everyone. They aren't that bad but I perfer a littler place than a big one.

everyone becomes really good towards each other ... except in the case of freedan and axe who have become mortal enemies ... and i sorta just get ignored ... and ... actually ... people don't always become that close _________________ It's high time I revised this signature. |

So I guess little sites can be good for getting close, but it also means your enemies will be close as well, huh? ^_^; |

I remember the days when Nick Shirgwin was still around...I'm gonna search on google for him. I'm kinda worried about him, old antagonists or not. _________________
