I think that system got dissed too much for being only for kids. If that never was said I think the gamecube would be better off.

i used to be one of the people that would dis it ... but only in my mind, not shout it out at all the people who owned a cube ... but since i got one im lovin it Cool Guy

Bah, I wanted a cube anyways. It looked cool, and a lot of games were gonna be released for it.

i've got a cube but i'm thinking of getting x-box 3 instead of the nintendo revolution whenit come's out since most companys semm to be defecting to microsoft

Microsoft took Rare from Nintendo and who's making good games like Donkey Kong or Star Fox? Last year, Microsoft dont let Rare make games for Nintendo DS...what a selfish company! Neutral

I just to want to see Perfect Dark or Goldeneye 64 on DS like Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64 did. Now, Rare is stuck with greedy Microsoft Studio....making games for PC and Xbox only.

seeing consoles evolve, the classical way of cartridges would vanish in no time. DVD's are more prominent in the market

Ha! Now I know why we (my bro and I) didn't buy a Cube! Cuz Rare went to Microsoft! (how could I forget that?)

We were close to buy one, but then we heard about the Rare-change, and so we said
"Cube without Rare? No way!"
"PS2 with low power? No way!"
"XBox with same games as on Pc? Wasteful!"
...and so we decided to buy more N64 games and download roms...

Some people of RARE, after it was bought by Microsoft left and started their own company. Don't remember the name tought.

In the support from 3rd parties, actually as far as I know, that is ps2 strong point. It counts quite a bit actually, if not the most important feat. More companie = more games. Microsoft is making it easy since the original xbox for developers to move to them. I am told the most bastardic of the three to work with is Nintendo. Heck, no indie team could get one Nintendo development kit for any system, except the gameboy advance, where they are more forgiving. Support from 3rd parties is the reason the ps2 is where it is, otherwise Nintendo would the the king.

However the ps2, not only has more people, but more crappy games too. I mean their ratio of crappy games to good games is the highest. Nintendo has the best ratio, and I guess the Xbox is in the middle.

Xbox can damage you tought. You know, cables that get on fire and stuff.

With all the people that MS is buying, since they are buying people who are good, not letting their doors as open as Sony, they might get a good amount of games, and good ones. That and being the first in getting into true online gamming are their strong points.

I would talk more about the future battles, but that is not what this topic is about.
