Sometimes it works. Yoshi's Cookie was a fun puzzle game. And there's no way the Mariokart series would have done so well if Mario and his crew hadn't been added to it.

Dont forget Tetris Attack + Yoshi characters, Wario's Woods + Toad, Wario and his friends, and Pokemon Puzzle League + pokemons. Darn, those games are so addict ones. I wish they come back in DS or new GBA (it's rumor, I heard).

Do you ever play Mario Wrecking Crew '98? It's japanese Mario puzzle SNES game include classic nes one. But there's no english translation available...

You know, I just noticed that it seems that the only company that does that 'getting the character out of setting' thingie, is Nintendo. Oh and, um.. I think some games are all right, but more important, I dom't think its an issue that I should keep taking more XD
