I just got new issue of Game Informer today and find surprise gossip:

CNN is claiming that the new version of the Game Boy Advance will be out by the end of 2005. The unit would have increased multimedia capabilites to compete with the PSP. Industry analyst P.J. McNealy perdicts that the unit would retail for $99, while the GBA SP would be cut to $49.

New GBA this year? Some rumors say that new gba will be revealed in '05 E3. I hope they got classic nes one like my GBA SP....
I wonder why Nintendo want to do it..? Perhaps they going to take down Sony's PSP. Remember, DS is not part of GBA generation but just new console.

Any idea what it might look like? I was thinking of getting a DS so I would have more room for my hands, that SP is trying cramp them.

Too many handhelds.... people are going to get sick of paying for a new one every few months. This might not be Nintendo's best idea.

I have no idea what new GBA look like but it's cross between original GBA and SP. From what GameSpot news said, new GBA aim on young players while DS aim on adults.
Dark Samurai, go with DS if you're willing to sacifiace the old gb games and linkup port. DS dont have those GBA ports. That's why I kept my SP. So is GBC and GBA.

i hope that doesn't happen, like with the atari so many people tried to get on that bandwagon, I a little suprised that I haven't heard about a handheld from microsoft.

Because PSP try steal players from DS with its powerful processor and wide screen, or whatever you could find on PSP package. To me, I saw DS as Revolution's little brother. My nephew was crazy about my DS and begs for playing DS games. Rolling Eyes

Because graphics make everything worth buying.

I never got in to the handheld bit, and probably never will. If I ever do bother with a DS, it won't be for a while.... when the better games come out for it.
