No... even a remake would sell poorly. Most EB's and Gamestops have the old ps1 version of FF7, and it's pretty cheap. I believe it's in the $10-$15 range. If it were me and I was new to it and wasn't a FF collector, I wouldn't buy a brand new game if I could get the same game only with the old graphics for loads cheaper. _________________

Well, considering the business sense of those in the U.S., I don't think the remake would fly, considering it's pretty common here. As for other countries, I'm not so sure. _________________

but the thing is ... it may sell well in USA ... cause don't forget ... there are a boatload of people that put a lot on graphics ... so if there was a remake they would get the eye candy that they're after and be forced to play a game with a good storyline (much to their dismay ) _________________ It's high time I revised this signature. |

If they made the graphics better and had voice acting and stuff that would be one of the only ways of selling it again! It's sad that most people just care about graphics...or eye candy, whatever...
Though you gotta admit it would be cool... *day dreaming* |

would be very cool ... even if they left it as is, as long as they release it on PAL so i can get a copy ... cause my poor FF7 grew wings and flew away _________________ It's high time I revised this signature. |

the thing they could do to make it sell well is to make the game for ps3 and give options to have the effects as a cheat or a privlege for beating the game, keep the story the same, and put the old vertion out of print. plus it would make ff7 worth more. _________________ "Ok we'll be there in 20 minutes..." If you defeat the game with every character at lvl 99 with final limits you can use sephiroth, zack, and keep aeries ... also unlocks CherryBlossom for cloud ... yeah ... that'd be a good reward _________________ It's high time I revised this signature. |

Well, considering they remade the opening for the game as their PS3 tech demo (which kicked some ass), they like to tease their fans. I don't think they would remake it though, even though a lot of the hardcore fans would love that... as stated before, most casual consumers would rather put out $17-$20 instead of $50-$70 for a game. _________________

maybe so ... but itd sell in pal countries since FFVII is rare now
Edit: yeah ... that trailer is maddening ... but at least it would suck in the graphic people ... no more complaining about cubes and pyramids _________________ It's high time I revised this signature. |

IMO, FF7 sold much more than it deserved. It was a mediocre game at best TBQH, a mere shadow to the greatness that was FF6. So yeah, the only way I'd like to see an FF7 remake is if it is done like Namco did with remaking Tales of Destiny. _________________
