have any of you ever made a really stupid mistake, or just missed something completely obvious in a game?
i have quite a few, funnily enough a decent chunk are from super metroid. anyways my list (or what i can recall of it):
Super Metroid
-'the noob bridge' - ie the bit where you have to run across. i couldnt find the run button.
'the noob tube' the tube that you have to powerbomb to get into maridia. -apparently lots of people get stuck there, it even has a nickname ^^
-i somehow didnt know where plasma beam was, and beat lower norfair and ridley without it. used many save states, all my missiles, supers and powerbombs
Terranigma
-believe it or not, my first run through (i was like 7), i could not find the elder.
if i think of any more, ill post.
so what about you guys? _________________

anyway, foolish moments... there was a part in MISCHIEF MAKERS (N64) where you participate at some kind of olympic games and have to win a running contest... only problem: you cannot run, just walk >_> it took me weeks to find out that one of the C-buttons is a kind of turbo-boost you have to hit like a maniac to win this _________________

Mischief Makers! That game wins. XD
On a few playthroughs of Megaman (any of the games), at least right after I start playing them, I always forget that Megaman CANNOT DUCK TO SAVE HIS LIFE. And I end up dying. Terribly. _________________

Nearly every Zelda game I play I end up doing something really stupid.
I swear they set up the puzzles purposely to make people feel dumb. _________________

Every time I play SoulBlazer, I seem to forget to get one of the bracelets and the bird boss wrecks me while in reality I'm pretty good at beating it with the proper equipment.
I'm having the same "ducking" problem in Demon's Crest lol - especially with the first couple of bird bosses swooping at me. Also, I always make the same mistakes playing the first level of Act Raiser 2 and at the part where you jump into the tree, my strategy is to jump into the swamp once and then onto the tree entrance hole ledge thing. |

Everytime I see large numbers of enemies or allies group together, I cant resist a urge to toss away the grenade... _________________

i think ive only ever done the taklama desert properly once. someone i knew told me that you could just walk roughly NW and you'd make it out fine. a lot easier than following instructions, looking for rocks, etc _________________
