Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner (Raidou Kuzunoha)

On Episode 6 of that game. It's pretty freakin' cool. It's like Pokemon but with demons.

So is Shin Megami Tensei an anime made into a game or a game series or what?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but is it not a series of disjointed Japanese games all made by the same creator/dev team?

According to Wiki: "Megami Tensei (女神転生, Goddess Metempsychosis?), commonly abbreviated as MegaTen, is a Japanese console role-playing game metaseries which was originally based on the novel series Digital Devil Story by Aya Nishitani (taking its name from the title of the first of those novels) and has gone to become one of the major franchises of the genre in its native country. The games are published by Atlus with the exception of the Famicom games, which were published by Namco." and "Shin Megami Tensei is a Megaten game.""

And the assorted games and media from wiki:

Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei, Megami Tensei II
Shin Megami Tensei: Shin Megami Tensei, Shin Megami Tensei II, Shin Megami Tensei if..., NINE, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne/Lucifer's Call
Devil Summoner: Devil Summoner, Soul Hackers
Raidou Kuzunoha: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army, Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon
Persona: Revelations: Persona (Persona) (which is getting a PSP remake this year!), Persona 2, Persona 3, Persona 4
Digital Devil Saga: Digital Devil Saga, Digital Devil Saga 2
Other series: Last Bible, Majin Tensei, Devil Children
Other games: Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine, Jack Bros., Giten Megami Tensei: Tokyo Mokushiroku, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor
Anime: Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei, Shin Megami Tensei: Tokyo Mokushiroku / Tokyo Revelation, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children, Persona: Trinity Soul
Manga: Shin Megami Tensei if..., Shin Megami Tensei: Kahn, Majin Tensei, Shin Majin Tensei Gaiten Hato no Senki

The games are actually pretty damn hard. I've been stuck at the end of Persona 3 for the longest time because the last boss is a raging bitch. However, I fully condone the game because it's amusing to watch the characters shoot themselves in the head with their Evokers. The fight I linked is the Japanese version, a fight against Death. It's always a little frightening to be running around trying to grind on a level of Tartarus and then hear the chains he carries rattle. :D

AND if I may be a nerd just a bit longer, Digital Devil Saga involves CANNIBALS. No, I really mean that. :D

...and yes, I have both Devil Summoner games with Raidou and Raiho. :D I have the special version with the Raiho plushie, too!
