Y'know, those moments where you can hear the Final Fantasy victory fanfare in your head.

I'll start this off: I thought of a fitting name for my new EDH deck for Magic! Going after the current naming scheme I have from Ar tonelico song names, my newest one has been dubbed Flip_Arphage (my grouphug deck will be called Cosmoflips). Why the name? This deck starts (hopefully) as grouphug, but then changes and pulls out all the stops. ...mainly because I have non-legendary Eldrazi in there. The song it's named for does the same in changing its mind on what it wants to do.

...yes, I am a nerd, and I'm proud of it. But what about you guys?

(And for those curious, my EDH commander for this new deck is Braids, Conjurer Adept. The non-batshit looking Braids.)

Braids as an EDH general is asking for trouble. people play REALLY fat shit in EDH games. expect to have the legend rule cancel any emrakuls you have.

as for achievements today, id say none. the highlight was a successful 4-gate in starcraft 2. that is how damn boring my holidays are.

Eh, well...

I went 22 and 4 in a Snipers Match in Halo: Reach. I suck at snipers, mind you... and could've gone 22 and out, but I wasn't paying attention during the first death, and it broke my concentration.

I worked my ass off on Sunday- and my boss told me he wants me to be a Team Leader under him, and said he would do what he could to make sure that happens.

Sometimes things work out differently than you had hoped.

No Emakruls in my deck. I think he's in my Mayael deck. Very Happy

Finished my first photoshop vector for photoshop class:

I did it with the touchpad, and it took me around 3 hours. It's not the best, but I tried.

@raini: for mayael's deck, use "mayael's aria" and "mossbridge troll". instant win. literally

For me... finished a project that I've been working on, and got to One Shot, One Kill on CoD4 on Veteran (I got 21/30 intel so I spent a lot of time toying with the Slo-Mo Ability on Game Over).

Uh, other than that, I woke up at 6:00 AM and felt well rested. For me that's a definite win. Laughing

Buuuuut for the past couple of days...

- apparently my Braids EDH deck is a good one! I built it myself too Very Happy

now if I could only get my Metempsychosis deck to work. (It runs Traumatize in it.)

- my Ar tonelico CD came in the mail today!

- last night I kept myself from punching someone who was coming on to my Magic nerd right in front of me (shut up; that's an achievement)

- tonight at the Scars of Mirrodin release, I actually placed! It was tenth out of the top ten, but I'm proud of myself. Smile

my record for the night was 2-1-1 (two wins, one loss, one draw) and the prerelease was 0-3-1. I'm moving up in the world!

i've almost finished making a lunch box out of a chair kinda like this but a different brand and dark blue. it's the first thing i've sown together that'll actually be useful!

why? cause the chair was broken and was going to get thrown away otherwise. it came out kinda lopsided so far but it'll work...

[edit -holy crap i forgot that thing existed. instead of food i used it to carry books and video games back and fourth.. strange times. heheh]

4th semester? aren't there like only 2 per year?

also, congrats on almost finishing the thesis. everyone i know here doing one is complaining so much about theirs. what are you writing it on?
