I recently discovered this show. Being a horror/sci fi fan, of course I'd known about it, but never got the chance to see it before. Now, thanks for Netflix, I've watched about 23 of the 30 episodes. The second season does take a noticeable decline in quality... there's no guessing why it ended when it did. Nevertheless, it's a weird, very atmospheric show... it puts you into a state of relaxation that is also sort of unnerving.
Myself and my buddy have been watching it, discussing the nuances of it all. After the abrupt cancellation of the show, a theatrical film was made, but suffered in many respects, and effectively ended the franchise.
Good show, and, should any one of you ever get the chance, I would definitely recommend a watch... even if you just view the pilot. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. I've had the opening song for a good 7+ years on my computer andd was always curious about it, but no dice in seeing it.
Funny enough, Alan Wake has a lot of Twin Peaks feelings, from what I understand. _________________

Alan Wake could have easily become Twin Peaks: The Game. The overall atmosphere, alot of the same ideas (A "Show in a show," Alan Wake has the Lamp Lady, TP has "The Log Lady, ect).Even the diner has similiar qualities to the show. Hell, towards the end of TP theres even a giant bright light, like AW.
EDIT: Also, if you've never heard it, there is a version of the theme that has lyrics to it... my buddy got the soundtrack off of Zunepass, and we listened to it on our ride through the backwoods of our local area... this place is alot creepier than you could imagine.... _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it.
