The "I Survived The End of the World 2012" Party
A little premature, but I would like to start a thread here. Anybody doing anything exciting on Friday?

No plans for Friday, but tonight I'm going to go to one of those places that the floors and walls are trampolines. Can't wait.
Maybe I'll go see The Hobbit. That soundslike a good way to go out.

"Oh, if you see him coming get away if you can. Just keep on running, run as fast you can. He's a dangerous, dangerous man. And he's out tonight. And he's watching you. And he knows your house. Ki ki ki ma ma ma. No, don't turn out the light. Yeah causes hes back. He's the man behind the mask. And he's out of control." -Alice Cooper

Another apocalypse down. All we have to worry about now is a) the Biblical end times, b) the zombie apocalypse, or c) the USSR taking over America, Red Dawn (80's, of course) style.

Believe it or not, I might be one of the few horror fans that just couldn't get into that show.psychokind wrote:is somebody else watching the walking dead?SoulBlazerFan wrote:b) the zombie apocalypse,

well I couldn't imagine myself liking the series as a horror film fan. there's not much horror involved in it, I see it more as a documentary about social behaviour of humans in extreme situations. and as a documentary about a zombie apocalypseSoulBlazerFan wrote:Believe it or not, I might be one of the few horror fans that just couldn't get into that show.psychokind wrote:is somebody else watching the walking dead?SoulBlazerFan wrote:b) the zombie apocalypse,

I have an interest in that stuff too. Character studies and social commentaries have always interested me, going as far back as watching old reruns of Twilight Zone episodes (Like the Monsters Live On Maple Street and All the time in The World) I did try to give the series a try- I watched the first 2 episodes and half of the third. I just couldn't get into it.psychokind wrote:well I couldn't imagine myself liking the series as a horror film fan. there's not much horror involved in it, I see it more as a documentary about social behaviour of humans in extreme situations. and as a documentary about a zombie apocalypseSoulBlazerFan wrote:Believe it or not, I might be one of the few horror fans that just couldn't get into that show.psychokind wrote: is somebody else watching the walking dead?
I might give it another shot down the road. In fact, more than likely. I seem to find myself watching things from two perspectives- I go into a movie/tv show as a fan, and then upon a second viewing I try more objectively. I find I grow to like a film I might've hated initially doing it this way.

The fact that you said "hasn't happened fully yet" terrifies me.inferiare wrote:The zombie apocalypse will only happen when I become the queen zombie and that hasn't happened fully yet. Just sayin'.
