I can only imagine the thousand of kids thinking about suicide and getting depressed if they dare to show it on something besides adult swim. And all the publicity it will get... |

Hmmm... I hope they end up in Adult Swim, not regular Cartoon Network. _________________

Since Eva's not really a kids show, it'll most likely be shown on Adult Swim.
Muerte: Cartoon Network is the TV channel solely for...cartoons. Adult Swim is the block of programming for adults (Family Guy, Futurama), and most "un-kid" anime is shown on Adult Swim (like Inu Yasha, Case Closed (Detective Conan). _________________

Well, from what I read, Cartoon Network showed two episodes of Eva a while back when they did their tribute to mecha anime. I guess it flopped. _________________

Look what's happen to One Piece anime.....
If you comprate One Piece aired in CN with manga found in book stores, you'll find big differences between them. _________________

Come to think of it, I think I do remember seeing a TV ad for it a while back.
@DP: Why am I not surprised? Really, in a milder sense, they did the same thing to DBZ a while back when it aired. _________________

I've seen the One Piece dub, and it wasn't *too* bad, and I've got all 7 volumes out so far.
The only time anime is edited at all is when it's going to be shown on TV. The DVD's are fine, unless otherwise noted. _________________

Although I am no longer a fan, anyone remember the super censoring of DBZ when they released the first season (With the "Other" voice cast)?
Something like, the show was so bloody and violent 13 episodes of footage were completely cut, and hybrid episode were thus created. I think they started last year the new series of episodes, with the current voice cast.
Oh, and fairly recently, a group tried to get a union for Voice Actors for video games, but apparently, they failed, and some may go on strike. <<;

I remember that. They had like, little clouds over the fighting so it wouldn't be "as violent". _________________
