So, I was at the movie theater, and I was going to get a popcorn, pop, and some skittles. Then I found out that I didn't have enough money, so this guy comes in and helps to cover it for me. After that part, I got humiliated, because there was quite a bit of people in the room I was in at the theater.
Just got to remember to bring more money is all.

Long live the ATM card.
I've been in a similar situation a few times. Once, I was out with my gf, and found I didn't have any cash on me at all (I had left it at home; forgot to replace it, since I leave it at home when I go to work). Fortunately, I had my bank card, so I wasn't stuck without a way to pay.
The other times, it wasn't really me in the situation... I was the guy that put in the extra bit of cash. Nothing big; in one case, somewhere between $1 and $2 when the girl in front of me was a bit short for the pizza she was buying, and another case where a couple of kids were at EB games... I happened to overhear that they were about 75 cents short (the clerk wouldn't just pony up the 3 friggin' quarters himself, so I did).
Electronic banking FTW. Saves you from the panic attacks that come when you find out you have no cash. _________________

This is why it pays to overestimate the possible expenditure on future stuff. _________________

That is the exact reason I only go to the movies like.... once a year. I always get a $30 gift card for the movie theatre on my birthday(which is tomorrow yay! I can legally buy porn now... I mean... ahem... did I say that out loud?) |

Yeah, $30 would probably cover about one movie. Two if you're a loner, but it's no fun to go see a movie by oneself. _________________

Actually, most of the time when I go to a movie theater to see a movie, I actually like seeing it by myself because that no one talks to you while it's playing, and I also make sure to be at a different seat whenever I see one. This is one of the reasons I like seeing a movie by myself.

Well, for me the fun of going to see a movie isn't the movie itself, but the experience of laughing alongside people you care about (assuming it's a comedy). I can't go to the theaters by myself, no matter how much I want to see a movie. Even if a new action movie came out in which Batman, Darth Vader, James Bond, and Chuck Norris all duked it out. Still wouldn't go alone. _________________

Whenever I go to see a movie, I almost always go alone. It's more fun that way, because if you were going to go see a movie with someone you didn't know, what I would do is I would ignore them unless they said something to me. But like I said, if they didn't say anything, I would just ignore them and just enjoy the movie.
If they said something to me, I would just shake my head, trying to make a quick reply. |
