Yeah, playing through this game finally for the very first time ever. Very enjoyable so far, I am already at the 4th area. Died a couple of times due to being careless and forgetting to switch out to the herb. So what was your experience like the first time playing? _________________

My first time playing wasn't quite as mindblowing as for some. I had already played IoG (a superior game, to me), so SB seemed a bit primitive by comparison.
I definitely enjoyed it while it lasted, though. The idea of restoring towns devoid of life was pretty cool. I just found it a bit on the easy side (most enemies can be easy to kill because of how you swing your sword; if you put yourself on the right angle, you can hit them while staying out of their line of fire).
My only real complaint was that finding those red-hot items took forever. (Text smallified to keep from giving anything away for Val's first time playing). Very obscure stuff.
Also, the magic was pretty much useless, but I'm usually more of a physical fighter in these games anyway, so that didn't bother me much.
A pretty good game on its own, but probably my least favourite of the trilogy. _________________

id have to agree. it was fun but by no means compared at all to my previous SB trilogy experience: Terranigma.
and yes, collecting stuff was a royal pain _________________

Different medium. In the games, I'm physical. In stories, I use magic. _________________

fine, but i don't think "the dark knight" really suits you as a title, you seem like a good bloke (yes i know about the character of freedan and everything, i just believe people should create original characters) |

"Dark Knight" doesn't have to necessarily imply "bad". In the game, he was fighting to keep the comet from destroying everything, and it took the combined powers of the Dark and Light Knights to accomplish that goal.
I really just went with the full title on a whim when I signed up. When he was referred to in-game, it was usually in full like that.
Incidentally, you're a good chap too. _________________

The way I see it, Dark Friar is a marriage of physical and magic powers to produce a powerful attack. _________________

it was a good game, but i think it lacked a little in storyline, but it is old so i'll let it off, it's still a good game, better than most |
