the TWITTER hype

i guess everyone of you already got the new hype in microblogging: TWITTER

there even are YouTube videos going around...

so, anyone else using it? we somehow were "forced" to try it at least last semester and i personally like it, even though im pretty pissed off by some guys who abuse twitter for spamming and stuff like "i am drinkin tea right now" -.-

I used to be, but I quit. (I also quit Myspace last year, but I returned to stay in contact with my friends)

I'll be honest: I still don't know exactly what Twitter is.

I know it's something catching on in popularity pretty quickly, and knew it had something to do with blogging or whatnot; but I never bothered to learn the specifics of it, on account of I really didn't give a shit.

Seems like Twitter appeals more to the next generation of internet-people...

I mean "we" are fine with our forums, MSN, ICQ and maybe MySpace, but the next generation has apparently the need to show the word every aspect of their lifes and what they do at this precice moment...!

twitter is actually more than "i am sitting in my chair now" and "now i got up to get some food" ... you can inform others about interesting blogs, sites or news... e.g. when the german boy went out for carnage on his old school, it was a twitterer who had the first news and posted them

I have a livejournal. Yep, that thing that was taken over by the Russians last year. I also have a MySpace and Facebook. That's good enough for me. I also don't have a character limit on LJ/MS/FB, unlike Twitter. ...well, I do, but it's above and beyond the like, 500 character limit Twitter has. Screw Twitter.
