A person who:
>rarely gets angry
>when he does he goes ballistic.
>gets over the fight really fast (within a day or so)
Or a person who:
>Gets angry a normal amount.
>Gets mean but not really over-the-line.
>Lingers onto a fight for weeks and months... _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

Well, that depends on a person by person basis, but I don't think either is really a healthy way to deal with anger. A person who "doesn't get angry" but gets really really angry when he does, is probably just balling it up. A person who is passive aggressive and thinks revenge is a dish best served cold etc. Is probably a liar. To put it simply. And you might never know exactly where you stand with a secretive person such as that, much less what they really think. Again, this all depends on severity. Someone obsessively plotting revenge for -possibly imagined or blown out of proportion- wrongs is not the same as someone constantly bitching and moaning over something unimportant months after it happened. And someone getting very upset when they get angry IS NOT the same as someone who gets physically or verbally abusive when they get mad.
So I don't think anyone can judge by the those categories/definitions listed really.

I work with a guy like the first option. He gets in a pissy mood from time to time, and he gets mad when he does. Everyone just stays away from him for a while, lets him brood, and he's over it by the next day.
I'd rather avoid a guy for a day than put up with someone being a bit less of an asshole for a couple of weeks. _________________

Explosive anger is bad, but implosive anger is worse, because when it does surface, it can be just as bad, if not worse.
Plus, these internal types of people tend not to show their opinions or feeling on certain matters, making it difficult to get close to them. Also, by not sharing their feelings with others, they make it harder on themselves to trust others.
It's far more self-destructive, which to me, would be worse. _________________

It's also important to keep in mind the kind of anger/what causes it. There are things that could happen to all of us that would make us angry and react in a different way than we would to another type of anger/a different situation. |

don't think so. I get along with that very well. the people bearing with that and still trying to get through are really close friends and are serious about the friendship.
besides, you can't trust most people anyway. if you know tons of people this is a good way of sorting out.
getting angry is not just an emotion, it's an impact on your personal life and behaviour. if somebody angers me seriously and I'm right in being angered, it's like switching to from liking to hating. it doesn't just stop sometime. if he won't make up and there's no good reason to forgive (I'm proven false in being angered), I just hate him forever.
example: years ago my female cousin visited for a week (she was 1 . she went along to disco and stuff, and I told everybody beforehand to NOT hit on her. clearly. a friend I knew for years did it anyway.
I waited till next morning, told my cousin every bad thing I knew about him until she promised not to answer his calls. told his girlfriend about everything.
if I see him today, there's no handshaking or chitchat, no smalltalk or clinking glasses. I clearly tell him I don't want him in my company, and my friends who knew him too follow me in that way, I'd do the same thing for them.
as you can see, anger is a very important principle to me _________________

Meh I rarely get mad. And when i do I usually rant or lash some hard words out for a minute. Then I am vented and back to normal in an hour.
I will start trowing punches though when you
a. Hurt one of the people i care physically
b. Mug some old lady
c. Being a real real douchebag
one exception, there is one person on earth i would kill on sight without warning if i ever see his face again. _________________ Gehaktbal, Frikandel, Bamihap

Funny enough, I'm one of the first examples. You wouldn't know it from how I am normally, since I'm usually all smiles and just a ball of adorable. It's even funnier since I can usually shrug things off if I don't think they're worth getting angry over, but there are things I just CAN'T do that with. (And even better, I'm nothing like my astrological sign of Aries when it comes to anger. However, I'm really freakin' scary when angry.)
There are, of course, exceptions to this, including against the guy who almost screwed my life over (won't get into the details), though the hatred has sort of gone away to the point where I can be around him sometimes without wanting to punch him in the face. He used to work for the same company I do, so I would see him at the Christmas parties. He'd stay on the opposite side of the room from me. Probably better that way so I wouldn't beat his face in. There's only one other person who has my undying hatred, so we'll leave it at that. _________________

i dont generally get angry. if i do, its in a short burst. usually if it comes to that (i can think of one time in particular) i go for a long walk alone, and come back feeling less aggressive. ive never hit anyone out of anger though. no one has yet to push me that far.
id prefer someone who gets over things quickly, as id rather put up with someone's anger for a short time, than put up with someone's bitchyness for a few weeks _________________

I think the first option is much worse. People who fit number 2 are annoying, but you can avoid them most of the time. If you are around someone like #1 when they get mad, someone or something could get hurt/damaged. _________________ Touch it and Die
