Graveyard Updating Mark II

We seem to never use the Graveyard Forum, except for those Castoth threads. My original idea was to put "dead" topics in the graveyard, but if that were to happen it would take a TON of work.

So, why not this? Why don't we re-assign the few topics in the Graveyard to their original locations and simply "lock" them? I mean TerraEarth has gotta have well over 200 "dead" topics. Do we have to move them all to the Graveyard?

Also, we don't see many Announcements either.

As far as I knew, the graveyard was for topics that were just meant to be left to rot: flame wars and the like. Since we don't get many of those around here... ;

the description of the graveyard implies its for dead topics. not necessarily bad topics, but those no one has replied to for ages and that no one probably will.

if a cleanup were to be done, it would probably have to be from the second page of threads onward. but it would seriously be too much work.

alternatively, the old RPs could be moved there, as those arent going to be receiving any new replies

For me to manually go and move those topics would probably take me a few hours. That's a lot of subforums to go through and go "Oh, this one hasn't been touched since 2005, time to move it!" and all.

@EP: True, but the majority of the threads that were moved into the Graveyard (wow I almost put "gravyard"... mm, gravy) have been either spam-ish stuff or stuff that started some almost-flame wars. That's why I said what I did, despite the description of the boards.

I don't know. The graveyard kind of serves as a museum of idiocy. Maybe new members should be directed there first, as an example of what not to do.
