Good day, good people.
The Forbes 400 (first published in 1982) is a list published by Forbes Magazine magazine of the wealthiest 400 Americans, ranked by net worth. Of course you all know this, and I copied it off Wikipedia for nothing.
Starting today, as one of a series of improvements and upgrades, I've added a column to the member list page. Which would that be? Oh come on, you're better than that! Gems of course!
If you head over to the Member list you can check out, who the richest people in town are (it's the single o last column on the right). Personally, I was surprised. _________________ ... And Zuruh, wow, that's a lotta gems! Zuruh is almost exactly as rich as the 8 next richest peoples combined, that's amazing.
I like this feature....now how is it useful? |

heh. thats fun. although, Zuruh's gem count came from him pasting the whole script from the Matrix movies. not from unsigned integer hax like someone else once did _________________

Perhaps including an algorithm to remove gems as posts are removed or deleted would solve little problems like that.
But hey, at least Zuruh came by it honestly. He didn't know any better at the time.

And perhaps if your post merits a "Sticky" you should earn extra gems (but not if you sticky it yourself, i.e. you're a moderator and you sticky your own posts for extra gems).
[Edit: On second thought, that's a really dumb idea.] _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

It does. When a mod or admin deletes posts, you actually lose some gems as a penalty. When I deleted the four posts by Tay's funtime flamer not!buddy, her initial count was somewhere around 120, I think. By the time her posts were deleted, her gem count was at -80. There's a penalty, but I don't know how it works exactly, just that there IS one.

When one of your posts is deleted you lose 100 Gems on the spot. Right now there's no method keeping track of the initial Gem reward you received for a specific post so, we use the 100.
If someone's post is worth less than that you might think it's unfair, but we all know that nobody likes spam and there would've been a good reason for us to delete that post, so the penalty stands.
If the post is worth over a 100 that's unfortunate for us. We (admins) are however still able to take Gems away from the admin panel, up.. and down to any amount we want. _________________ ...
