I just happen to live in the Midwest of the United States (Michigan) and we are currently having the biggest snowstorm of my lifetime (16+ inches). Best of all, class got canceled for tomorrow (good thing, because I sure didn't study for that exam!)

We're preparing for that storm to move towards us. It's supposed to snow heavily, and high winds will create drifts and poor visibility.
I might not be going in to work tomorrow if the roads are too shitty. But we won't get the storm as bad as the U.S. _________________

Since I'm from in Norway, snowstorms are normal to me. I find it amusing that such a commotion is made about it elsewhere XD
But of course, when the country isn't used to / prepared for snowstorms, the impact is bigger. In Holland they had an amount of snow considered "not that much" in Norway, but it was called record snow here. _________________ Hey. I'm Fazermint. And I'm Juicy!

Oh man. I got nervous when I first heard about this, and then excited... because I was sure I would start my six day vacay two days early... only to find out not only did we not get hit with the storm (We got the tail end of it- not even .3 inches) but all of it was icy rain- I literally had half an inch of ice on my windows I had to scrape off.
You lucky guys and your foot and a half of snow. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. I thought it was gonna snow last night (<--Lives in Arkansas), but instead it snowed for all of less than an hour and then proceeded to mist over, then freeze my car door's lock shut. Had to climb in through the passenger side. Bleh. _________________

Just like Nascar!
All we got was some freezing rain which didn't even really freeze. (VA) _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

Worst we've ever had. It seriously doesn't ever stop.
The only thing "good" (if you can consider it that) is snow days. It would suck if it cut into my march break time though ... hope it doesn't. I have plans in march. =[ _________________ Whenever there's light, there are shadows.

yea, probably. I was a little too lazy to figure out where it was, I was just busy trying to find the most outrageous picture of snow accidents, lol. _________________ Whenever there's light, there are shadows.

It's nice to see morons get what they deserve.
When I was on my way to work the morning after the storm (it was actually still going), the highway was snowy, winds were strong, and snow blowing across the road made it very hard to see. I was doing about 55 km/h (about 35 mph), because I thought it would be a really bad idea to go any faster than that.
Someone behind me decided to move to the other lane and pass me. He pulled ahead of me, and I lost sight of him soon.
Two minutes later, I passed the same car, which was now halfway in to the ditch. And that is why you don't drive too fast during a snowstorm.
I kind of wanted to put my window down a bit and wave to them as I drove by, but figured I should keep my eyes on the road. _________________

Ah I was being sarcastic but Freedan, had you done that you would of been my hero. We don't get much snow around here, but it's a good 50/50 chance that when we DO we get a good storm, we get a ton of snow. _________________
