If anyone does try it out, just one suggestion:

I encourage you to check around towns. Most buildings usually have at least one thing (sometimes more) that you can examine to get some kind of one liner.

Playing it now. Just started fighting Osteo. I like it so far. I liked the joke about "Over 9000 memes" and such. Oh, can't forget the Ogre battle, but that battle sprite... WHAT THE HELL, DARK KNIGHT.

You have to have RPG Maker VX installed. You can download it at CNET; playing games on it is free, but to actually make games you have to pay for the program. It comes with two different packs: RPGVX and RPGVX_RTP, which both need to be installed in order for anything to work.

I thought that rpg mapper was only if you need to make the game that's why i didn't even think of it. Dwling right now.

The Program itself is for the mapper, but you need the RTP (RunTime Protocol) to play games.

Only the actual editing software. The RTP is free. You can download it on a trial basis and play games forever. You have a 30 day trial of the software but after it ends you can still use the RTP.

I got about two hours into the game. Didn't realize the boulders did damage to you, got into a random battle- and dead.

I'm not sure if I'm using the software right. How do you save when you're using the Playtest mode?
