This topic is started for you to contribute the entire set of official rules that will apply to the RP PunchUp Arena once all rules have been confirmed.
Please reply to this topic with your opinion/addition on/for the official rules. One they're all here, this topic will be cleared and this topic will become a locked document containing all rules for the RP PunchUp.

What we have so far:
(please keep checking this post for updated list)
- No "god mode" abilities.
Example; when someone attacks you directly (and I mean directly... as in "Someone hits someone in the jaw!") you have to take the hit. When not hit directly (as in someone's action was throwing a punch at you and it doesn't connect yet) you can dodge - No ignoring other posters. That's dumb, and defeats the whole purpose.
- Guns always do less damage than swords
- No more than one action per post (each post = 1 turn) You can use one defending and one attacking in one turn.
- No double posting!
- No guaranteed hit attacks
- Summoning a creature takes up an entire turn
- The number you can summon is limited (Limit is now 3 creatures)
- When you perform an action, you, yourself, may -not- declare that the target is dead.
- Three direct attacks counts a KO
- You can regain conscience after 5 posts (turns)
- Two (2) KOs will result in death
- To revive from death another person must revive you.
- Special rules (such as curtain powers and/or facts that belong with the topic of the PunchUp [IE: Battle Royal] )must be stated in the first post of the PunchUp (the topic creator's post)! All other rules may be discarded
- All default rules (this list) will be in effect unless stated otherwise in the first post for the PunchUp
- Posts/actions in violation of any of the rules can be reported to a mod or admin to be deleted from the PunchUp
If you don't like one or more of these rules, you are free to object to one. Once they "air" for real, rules will not be changed/added/removed unless there is a motion created about it and backed up by enough members. _________________ ... "If you doubt, you question. No ignoring other posters. That's dumb, and defeats the whole purpose.
We might consider keeping it to actual physical attacks too, instead of ramming people's faces in to other people's crotches and giving them a face full of Johnson. _________________

But...that's a humilation attack! XD
I have a rule here - Guns always do less damage than swords. XD (Rules of RPG)
Another one would be - no more than one action per post, no guaranteed hit attacks, no sudden summoning of plasic monsters (Looking at you DPit) unless you spend a turn doing so, and even so, the number you can summon is limited. _________________

When you perform an action, don't declare that the target is dead. Let them react to the action. I'm sure common sense will prevail, and they won't avoid it every time. _________________

First off, I think it's cool that Joan's idea became an official thing. Congratulations. Second, I think one rule should be:
three direct attacks counts a KO
to revive from a KO another person must revive you.
A KO'd persons actions are ignored.
That way if someone is just spamming the thread we don't have to put up with them. Maybe I'm too serious.  _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

for the one action per turn, it should be one defensive action and one offensive action, because if you only get one action, then you might be constantly defending and never gat an attack in. |
