Nightwish - Tarja or Anette?

I know this is an old issue, but it is worth discussing. Ever since the band fired Tarja for apparently being a greedy asshat, the fanbase have been very divided into three groups ; Fans who embrace the new singer, fans who think that the new singer is terrible and can never be as good as Tarja and fans who appreciate both and doesn't care either way.

Which side are you on, and why?

Me, I am of the opinion that while Anette is a good singer in her own right, her pop style lends very poorly to the rest of the sounds of the band and thus will never do the songs justice as well as Tarja did with her opera-style singing.

My whole Nightwishness connects to Tarja, but SHE was the Diva bitch in this incident.
Annette did a good (not great) job on the new album, and I hope she can improve.
Still, I don't want to hear old songs sung by her ...

According to the poll, no, but from me, she does. I don't have any respect for Tarja right now (I still love her songs) Annette is prolly just a bit overwhelmed with everything atm. She'll improve, I'm shure...the nowadays "different" (or lame) songwriting still comes from Thuomas.

I dunno man, a lot of the previous Nightwish fans are disgruntled with how Anette's voice sounds with the rest of the band. I hope she improves fast if that is the case, because I still like Nightwish.

I still like Nightwish, and I know Tarja was being all LOL BITCH like, but her voice was what I liked the most about that band.

i liked tarja when she was still in nightwish, but i find her voice only is really irreplacable on the first 2 albums or so.. except sacrament of wilderness, anette totally nailed that one when i saw nightwish live.

i dont really hate either of em, but my fav song by them currently is off DPP. so go figure ^^
