Yet again, having problems with the linking system here. Copy/paste if you want to read the article.
Essentially, a girl got beaten to near death because of txt messages. I recommend reading the article, especially the last sentence, because it is just utterly absurd. Discuss. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. There's no link problem, you're just using a link with all kinda of meta data in there nobody needs.
Clean link: http://www.parentdish.com/2010/03/22/teen-in-critical-condition-after-alleged-text-message-dispute/
(You can easily get to the clean link by clicking the article's title.)

Wonderful. Another sociopath in the making.
Charged with attempted first degree murder? Good. Don't go easy on him because he's young. He's still old enough to know what he was doing. _________________

But the US is full of wonderful things and people.
Aside from this story, which is pretty tragic ;___; _________________ Whenever there's light, there are shadows.

I'm glad I live in London. (well, mostly ).
The worst I ever got at school was a class full of bullies who took turns. One boy broke a tooth out of my mouth, and another one knocked out a tooth (though that one was about to fall out anyway) and stuck a pencil IN my hand (on a separate occasion). _________________

Its amazing how kids these days get so enthralled in drama that should be way beyond their age.
A 13-year-old? Really?
And I'm glad they're treating this seriously. I'd hate for the kid to get off easy just because he's a kid. This is the kind of stuff that needs to be looked at seriously, not that "writing on a desk" bullshit. _________________

Welp. One of those cases where I find an eye for an eye to be an adequate punishment. He won't be doing that any more. _________________

Thank you for the assist. I'll be sure to fix this in the future.
Anyone read that last sentence? At the same school back in October, several students set fire to- get this- another student. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. someone at my school had their lab coat lit on fire, while they were wearing it. but that was as a joke, and nothing bad happened of it. but setting fire to someone (im assuming their clothes, skin doesnt really catch fire) is stupid. _________________

Okay... forget the girl, I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE KID WHO GOT SET ON FIRE!!!!!
What the hell is wrong with kids these days? I got my ass beat in middle school and high school a lot, but my bullies usually stopped when I was crying or cowering in fear. (or in a few cases when I knocked upside the jaw and they did a cost-analysis of continuing the fight).
And this kid is fuckin' perverse. He needs to be in jail for a long time. He beat a 15 year old GIRL to within an inch of her life over a text message dispute. What an asshole. Sure the comment about his brother was fucked up, but YOU DON'T HIT A GIRL!!!
Jesus, am I the only guy who knows this? _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

I totally agree - in most circumstances, you just should NEVER hit a girl. EVER.
That said, in my primary school I was actually the victim of being bullied BY a girl. A big girl - Venetia was like 9 years old and 224lbs! And she delighted in thumping the living daylights out of me and SITTING ON MY CHEST until I cried for mercy. (Really nasty).
She even did this IN FRONT OF BOTH MY AND HER OWN PARENTS. Her mum actually encouraged her, right in front of my mum who was like "WTF?!" in the middle of a playground full of kids and parents. Apparently Venetia's family felt that it was okay for her to beat up white kids. Seriously, I've tried many reasons for why they thought it was okay for their "little angel" (Sarcasm overload! O noes!) to beat me up, and all I can think of to this day that actually makes a lick of sense of is reverse racism. I never talked to her, or about her, I never interacted with her in any way (so long as I could help it), then she'd just come over and beat the shit out of me.
So yeah. Bullies working to their own insane troll logic are not a new thing, this was going on with me in my primary school (to thankfully never beaten into a coma, but I'm sure that wasn't for lack of trying on Venetia's part) about 20 years ago. It's just that it gets even more press coverage these days than it did back then. _________________
