So this might be fun, I'm gonna share my recent acquisitions. You see I am eternally planning for this nightmare scenario where the world ends or I am separated from the world or something like that and only have access to the games that I can take with me, ideally on the most portable devices possible.
More rationally I also like to play oldschool games because the old school is the good school. So here's what I have on my PSP and 3DS virtual console. I also have several games on my laptop through DOSBox but I won't go into all that here. Basically I've raided myabandonware.com and left no prisoners.
PSP
Final Fantasy I-IX
Vagrant Story
Threads of Fate
Spyro, Spyro 2, Spyro: YOTD
Tom Clancey's Rainbow Six
Chrono Trigger
MediEvil
3DS
Mario 1-3, World, Land 2: 6GC, Mario Maker (not old but has a bunch of old levels)
Zelda, Zelda II, Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Ages, Seasons, Ocarina of Time (3D)
Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, TCG
Castlevania I-IV
Megaman I-II, Megaman X
Metroid
Ninja Gaiden
Earthbound
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine
Sonic 2 (Game Gear)
Sonic 2 (remastered Genesis version)
Life Force
Defenders of Oasis
Ghosts and Goblins
Street Fighter II Turbo
Wario Land
Donkey Kong Country
Smash Bros 4 (Again not old but has some old levels and such) _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.

jeez, thats alot of VC games, no DKC2-3 though?
As a traveller, I always dreamed about a small but powerful laptop (that never gets stolen in a hostel) with all emulations up to the N64 and a versatile controllpad. _________________

Never played the later DKC games but I'll probably get those at some point.
And yeah I've done the laptop emulation. There was a period in my life where my main form of gaming was emulation and I had a bitching NES, SNES and PS1 emulator.
What would be your essentials lineup? _________________ Current Avatar commissioned work by Seiken Arts.
