I was thinking today about what video games I wished existed. Something that would be perfect for me. Obviously I wanted to open the topic of discussion to everyone, but two ideas I had add were this:
An updated port of Batman on NES, maybe to SNES style graphics with a classic mode so you can play it updated. I would also like a CD quality updated to the music, keeping the soundtrack but having them feel more punchy I guess.
The other would be a procedurally generated Friday the 13th game. Imagine you go into the woods, and traps and other blockages to escape routes would be different every time. You would have a flash light to go through the woods, but using it makes it easier for Jason to see you. I think the idea of every game being different would make it absolutely terrifying. I think it would be cool to have NPCs and maybe a 4v1 isometric multiplayer mode, but keeping a single player campaign would be ideal. You dont really need to go crazy in a story mode either, these movies never really got that deep anyway.
So I'll leave it to y'all; what is a video game you would love to see that hasn't been made yet?

"Oh, if you see him coming get away if you can. Just keep on running, run as fast you can. He's a dangerous, dangerous man. And he's out tonight. And he's watching you. And he knows your house. Ki ki ki ma ma ma. No, don't turn out the light. Yeah causes hes back. He's the man behind the mask. And he's out of control." -Alice Cooper

idk what my ideal game is, but it exists in some space between Zelda II and Symphony of the Night.
Really just a longer, more balanced version of Zelda II would be great.

Re: Games You Wish Existed
Allow me to unload my childhood dream.
I wanted the "Everygame" - a wish I deeply regret having seen similar visions come to pass.
The inspiration for this was Ehrgeiz: God Bless The Ring, a really solid PS1 title which I've spoken about to death, but for the benefit of any newcomer: It was essentially an arcade fighter featuring some characters from Final Fantasy VII. Before we had Cloud in Smash, we had this. Now the arcade fighter was the main attraction, but on the same disc there was also a relatively detailed dungeon-crawler RPG and a handful of party games.
As a broke boy who mostly played demo discs and only occasionally got a full video game as a rare treat, this was the definition of "bang for your buck". And so I went to work crafting in my head a sort of game that would be primarily an RPG, but would feature various levels where the gameplay style changed depending upon what was happening. I think my dream was part Final Fantasy, part Metal Gear Solid, part The Sims and part... Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (look I was 14).
Now, I don't think I have to explain to my adult friends why this game would never work. But there have been a few games that have come sort of close. The most recent one that impressed me was actually Princess Peach Showtime! I watched Val play it and the fact that each persona had a different game style was just an awesome concept and it didn't seem terribly unbalanced either.
So yeah... that was my dream and I am glad it never came to fruition. (You can see a tiny tiny shade of this dream in the multivarious activities and side objectives featured in TerraEarth: Absolute, perhaps the hallmark of why the concept was doomed to fruition).
As for what I want as a guy pushing 40?
Jeez, man, how about a game that I can finish in under 20 hours. I love my 100 hour slogs but I can do maybe one of them a year.
