Hey, I just thought I'd bring up this topic: Have you ever heard of the story about Rachel's Challenge? It happened at Columbine High School and Rachel Scott was the first girl to be killed.
For more information, go here.

Na, never heard of it, but it sounds intresting!
I didn't read the page entirely, but it seems like Rachel was a bright person! |

Yeah, you should watch the video. I sure did watch it. They even had an assembly at my high school featuring Rachel's Challenge. |

It's tragic when someone is killed, and far more tragic when the life is an aspiring young person with dreams and ambitions.
I had two kids die during my life in school, the first one in 8th grade. I didn't know her. The second died after the class graduated... him I knew. I watched him, once, snorting cocaine during the middle of my Algebra class. From what I understood, he was hit by a train when he and another kid were trapped in a train tunnel. It's hard at times, wondering if I could've made a difference if I'd told on him, blabbed him out to the teacher or principle.
I'm just glad tragedy could be turned into something that may help change and save lives. _________________ "...at first it's fine and you think you have a dark side – it's exciting – and then you realise the dark side wins every time if you decide to indulge in it. Sad to hear about Rachel, she sounds like she was an amazing person
though, it is tragic that she had to die to make an impact, I doubt she would of made a ripple this large if she was alive. Good stuff though, making something great out of something tragic, Optimistic opportunisms at it's greatest _________________ You're just a human being, my dear, sweet child |
